WeWork India Reinforces Leadership Team Amid Office Reopenings

As India gradually resumes its activities and businesses navigate the evolving landscape, WeWork India has announced strategic appointments to its leadership team. These appointments come as the company adapts to the changing dynamics of the workspace environment in the country.
Key Appointments
WeWork India has appointed Megha Agarwal, former global marketing manager at Unilever, as its new head of marketing. Additionally, Raghuvinder Singh Pathania, previously the head of operations, has been elevated to the position of head of community for India. Dharam Mehta, former head of business operations, has transitioned into the role of head of digital products.
Focus Areas
Karan Virwani, CEO of WeWork India, emphasized the significance of these appointments in enhancing the overall experience for the community while aiming for continued growth. Pathania, in his new role, will concentrate on optimizing operations management, enhancing profitability, and ensuring a superior member experience across all cities where WeWork operates.
Vision for the Future
Pathania expressed his commitment to maintaining a consistent sense of community and experience across WeWork’s various locations as the company expands and innovates. Meanwhile, Mehta will prioritize enhancing existing products like virtual offices, on-demand services, and WeWork Business Solutions, while also spearheading the development of new digital offerings to meet future demands.
Growth Trajectory
WeWork India remains optimistic about its growth trajectory, evident from its recent funding round of ₹200 crore in April. This comes after an initial investment of $100 million from WeWork Global in June of the previous year. Since its inception in 2017, WeWork has established a significant presence in India, leasing over 5 million square feet of space across 35 locations in key cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad (as of Q3 2021).
The strategic appointments within its leadership team underscore WeWork India’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and supportive workspace environment while aligning with the evolving needs of its members and the broader business community in India.
