The initial design inspiration came during a visit to the site, where the snowy landscape and impending spring hinted at the beauty that awaited. The allure of the sea, distinct from typical west beaches, sparked creative ideas for the café’s architecture.

Embracing Height Restrictions

Despite initial envy over neighboring multi-story buildings with expansive views, Voree Café’s design team saw an opportunity in the height restrictions imposed to preserve the sea view. This led to the decision to create a low building that harmonized with the surroundings, ensuring the stunning seascape remained unobstructed.

Blending with Nature

To integrate seamlessly with the natural landscape, Voree Café sits close to the road, leaving ample space in front. Instead of a traditional garden, the decision was made to maintain the area as a barley field, showcasing the region’s unique agricultural heritage. A simple walking trail complements the barley field, enhancing the café’s natural charm.

Architectural Innovation

The café’s design highlights a long passage between concrete walls, symbolizing the division between different use areas.
