Originally conceived as a three-story layout comprising laboratory research spaces and supporting offices, the design evolved to optimize daylight penetration and urban connectivity. Dividing the top floor into two halves and stacking them at the north end not only maximized access to daylight but also created a strong urban edge, echoing the adjacent warehouse aesthetic.
